ARCANA
Dive into the enigmatic, where the divine meets art, as you explore three mystical stations to discover the hidden secrets of your destiny.

Immersive installation with esoteric connotations which invites users to explore a mysterious room where occult imagery gradually reveals interactions with ritual, symbolic and magical aspects.
I worked on the sound design and the programming of 3 DMX spotlights in this project. For the sound design, I used TouchDesigner that communicated with the software AbletonLive. My goal was to create ambiance music and feedback sounds that guided clearly the actions of users. On page 20 of our documentation guide below, you can see my creative process for constructing ambient music to immerse participants in the esoteric realm we’ve envisioned.
For the lighting, the 3 spots DMX that were used had a 13 channel address each, which allowed me to experiment with light transitions in the different states of the installation : idle, one station activated, two stations activated, three stations activated and generative. I was also in charge of the cable management of our space in order to incorporate the technology within our decor, to create an immersive surrounding.

EXOTOPIE
March 6th – 8th 2025
In collaboration with Quartier des Spectacles and Festival Lumino
The experience transported participants to a vibrant planet where life flourishes in a unique ecosystem, where energy flows freely between species in the form of light.
Temperature and light cycles orchestrate the rhythm of Exotopie, inspired by speculative biology coexisting with performing arts and technology. The event, designed in a happening format, unfolded over three days in three distinct phases, each offering a unique atmosphere and specific immersive experiences. These stages allowed visitors to gradually dive into the created universe, revealing diverse and captivating aspects of the interactive world showcased in the Agora Judith-Jasmin (UQÀM).

I was stage manager, assistant to the technical director and visual performer (VJ) on the project.
As a stage manager, I developed a Cues Interface in Touch Designer in order to coordinate the technical team (light, sound and projection directors) for the transitions of the performances throughout the happening on March 8th. On the button below, it is possible to access in detail how the Cues interface was programmed for interactive media needs, inspired by existing cue sheet models used in theater.
As the assistant to the technical director, I contributed to planning the event assembly schedule and set daily goals during the week leading up to the event. This included tasks such as transporting equipment to a designated room before the event, organizing shifts to monitor equipment in the Agora both in the mornings and evenings prior to the event, assisting with the guidelines related to security requirements, and coordinating the presence of team members for the reception and return of rented equipment.
In terms of my creative contribution, I designed the voiceovers that introduced each performance on March 8th, 2025. I recorded one sentence per performance, crafted as a poetic description to announce the beginning of each performance or to provide a clear transition in the middle, identifying which performance was starting. The sentences were written by Marian Godbout, the Artistic Director of Exotopie. I also created and performed live visuals for the Orage performance, which took place at 7:20 pm on March 8th, 2025.
In general, when I completed my tasks, I assisted with cable management and made sure that roles were assigned to each member of our team to ensure the smooth running of the evening in close collaboration with Chloé Bouffard, specialized in Stratégie de production.

PRIX MOSAÏQUE
April 16th 2025

In collaboration with UQÀM, Marian Godbout and Santiago Betancur (interactive media – UQÀM)
An immersive installation featuring projections, dynamic lighting, and kinetic lanterns transformed Espace Quartier Latin (AD-S1300) during the Prix Mosaïque ceremony on April 16th. Presented by the Bureau des diplômés, the Prix Mosaïque celebrates graduates from each faculty of UQAM and the École des sciences de la gestion for their professional dedication, the impact of their accomplishments, and their influence within their fields.

I developed a DMX controller and visualizer using TouchDesigner to manage the lighting surrounding the installation during the event. The lighting design drew inspiration from the trophy’s color palette, contributing to a cohesive and immersive visual environment. In line with the organizers’ request, I also created four custom presets that complemented the signature blue of UQAM’s logo, enhancing the atmosphere for the evening.
